Hi, I'm Sergio Messina and I've been sailing Lasers in the UK for the last 20 years. Before that I represented Italy sailing dinghies at international level. For many years I’ve been thinking about how to develop a better wind indicator and hoping someone would market a robust indicator for use on dinghies – one that doesn’t break and that can be fixed easily to the front of the boat.

For some time I've been thinking about how I could get a better wind indicator and wishing someone would market a robust little wind indicator for use on dinghies which wouldn't break and I could fix it easily on the front of the boat.
